A visual memory game
See it. Lose it. Draw it back.
Afterimage trains your visual memory the most direct way there is. Study a picture, watch it fade, then rebuild it from memory on a blank board. Your ink lands on top of the original, and you see exactly what you kept.
How a round works
Four steps. About a minute.
Simple to learn, hard to master, and different every time.
-
A picture matched to you
Afterimage picks an outline near your level. Prefer to choose? In practice you set the difficulty, from plain shapes to intricate objects.
-
Look closely
The look is short on purpose. It is a simple outline, the kind a mind can actually hold. Make it count.
-
Draw it from memory
The picture fades. Rebuild it with a finger or a mouse. Undo, clear and pause sit right on the board with you.
-
See your ink over the original
Your drawing lands on the real thing, with a verdict in plain words. On rated rounds your level moves, and the next picture follows it.
Make it a habit
Five drawings. One set. Done for the day.
A set is five drawings: enough to work your memory, short enough to fit anywhere. Finish one and the day counts. Come back tomorrow and your streak grows.
Your level has a name, from Doodler up to Legend. Rated play carries on after the daily set, whenever you want another picture. Recent drawings live in your sketchbook, and you can rematch any of them just for the pleasure of it. A rematch never touches your level.
What it trains
A workout for one thing.
Afterimage trains visual memory: taking a shape in, holding it, and building it again.
Your score reads the ink you laid down, whatever order the strokes came in. That is the whole claim. Afterimage is a game, a daily workout for visual memory, and we offer it as exactly that.
At a glance
Everything in one look.
The task
Look at an outline, then draw it from memory.
The score
Your ink against the picture: what you covered, and what strayed.
The level
Rises with rated drawings. Practice never touches it.
The day
Five drawings make a set. One set completes the day.
The pictures
Thousands of outlines, from plain shapes to intricate objects.
